Trent used to have a set of stacking cups to play with while in the bath or using the water table. I don’t remember where we got them, but they were kinda plain. Even though Trent enjoyed playing with them, a few had pretty hard edges and he would get hurt if he stepped or sat on one….so they quickly got removed.

When I saw Nuby had a set of stacking cups in their new line of bath products, I jumped at the opportunity to try them. They are much better!

First, one thing I like is the absence of the hard edges. They are flat on top, so they won’t poke into his skin like the other kind we had.

But one of my favorite things about the Nuby Stacking Cups is all the opportunities to teach Trent colors, numbers and shapes.

Each cup is a different size, so they can be stacked to fit inside one another. Based on the size of the cup, there are a few shapes on the outside lip. Each cup has different shapes and a different number of them.

Each cup is also a different color, with the shapes on that cup a different color than the cup.

Lastly, there are also shapes on the bottom of each cup and varying number of holes to let water pour out.

We play by filling up the cups and letting them pour out in the holes in the bottom, by stacking and unstacking them. He learns by me asking him what color each cup is, or what shape is at the bottom, or asking him to count the number of shapes on each cup.

With the Nuby Stacking Cups, bath time is both fun AND educational!

Oh Trent, you have shown me that there is definitely something worse than a picky-eater husband…a picky-eater toddler!

Trent’s menu is rather limited and when we try to put something on his plate that he doesn’t like, he definitely can not just leave it alone. He has to move it off or play with it until we take it off completely.

We rarely sit at the dining table to eat. We like sitting in the living room and relaxing with a good tv show or movie. Trent’s plate will go on the table and he’ll run around and play, grabbing bites of food in between. Sure, it’s not what many would consider the best for teaching good eating habits, but it works for us.

Here’s another fun bath toy from Nuby…the Nuby Octopus Bath Time Toss!

It doesn’t just have to be for the bath either, and with the warm weather approaching, it can also be used in a water table or kiddie pool!

The Octopus tentacles curl up and it comes with three shapes to throw onto the tentacles. It’s like practicing for a carnival game.

The octopus and rings float, making it easier to grab them to keep playing. It’s a simple and colorful toy for fun bath time play.

Of course, bubbles make everything more fun too.

It’s been a while since my last Nuby review as a Nuby Mommy Blogger and today I have a fun review of one of Nuby’s newest items, the Squid Squirter!

• Great way to make bath time fun
• Hold the Squid under water and pull the handle back until the chamber is filled with water. Then push down on the handle and watch the water squirt everywhere.
• Encourages development and play

This toy is considered a bath toy and Trent has definitely enjoyed playing with it in the bath. However, have you tried using bath toys in the pool? They work great in the pool!

Because the Squid Squirter floats, we don’t have to worry about it sinking to the bottom of the pool and the large area of the pool means he has a lot more freedom to squirt the water!

He hasn’t quite figured out how to get the water into it, but he is a pro at squirting the water everywhere and thinks it’s hilarious.

You could also use the Squid Squirter in a kiddie pool or a water table!

Being a working mom, I pumped for a year and Trent drank from a bottle 3 times a day. Between washing the pump parts, bottles and various bottle parts each day, we always had something to wash or something to dry…it was exhausting! In fact, we had to clean out an entire shelf in one of our cabinets for bottles and everything…just to dry! Several months ago, we were on the lookout for ways to better utilize the bottle drying space to fit more stuff, especially after he also started using cups, so we started using the Nuby Bottle Drying Rack.

This Nûby™ Drying Rack holds up to eight bottles, as well as nipples, rings, discs and caps. It is also ideal for pacifiers and training cups. It comes pre-assembled. The sturdy drying posts securely lock into place for drying and fold down easily for storage. Just place on any flat surface, as the built-in reservoir holds the excess water for easy draining.

What I like about this drying rack is that you can place it either horizontally or vertically to fit the space you have.

It allows air to circulate in the items, so they dry faster and don’t sit in water. And it works with more than just bottles, like pump parts, his Flip-It cup, and other cups and small items.

Even though we used it in one of our cabinets, it also would have been great on the counter by the sink and Nuby Bottle Warmer!

You can also fold it up to create more space when not using it.

I could see this being used for more items after we no longer need to dry bottles…perhaps craft items, ribbon or tape!
