Pregnancy Progress Photos - Part 2

This may be a little late, which is pretty much a given with me…I’m late for everything, but we recently took a look back at my pregnancy progress photos to put them all together and see the progression. Mind blown.

You can go HERE for Part 1 of the Pregnancy Progress Photos, where I explained our decision-making process (or lack thereof) and how we decided to take the photos.

As you can see, I was kind of indecisive when it came to my wardrobe. We thought it would be great to have me wear the same outfit for every picture so you could REALLY see the progression. We did end up keeping the same outfit for our non-chalkboard photos, but I changed my mind halfway through the chalkboard ones because I felt it was boring. Looking back, I’m not sure if that was a good idea because although each individual photo looks unique, it looks weird when you put them all together and the first 5 have the same outfit and the rest are different.

We also weren’t so great at taking the photos as often as we wanted to. We were so inconsistent with our intervals, sometimes we took a photo two weekends in a row, and other times (most times) we went 2, 3, 4 weeks in between photos. I wanted to take one every week, but some days I just didn’t want to get off of my lazy pregnant butt to put makeup on, do my hair and put on an outfit that wasn’t in the “loungewear” category.

With all that being said (gosh, that all sounds so negative doesn’t it?), we are so glad we even have progress photos like this at all. Some people don’t even think about it or don’t have the resources to do it, and I’m glad we will have these to look back on. We also have this experience to learn from and will hopefully take even MORE photos with the next pregnancy…which won’t be for a little while, so family members need not get your hopes up. :P

  1. I love the progression photos. I really wish everyone would do them just so you can look back on them. It’s hard to see the changes from day to day but when you look at weekly pictures you can really see a difference. I also like that you wore the same outfit. My original intention was to do the same but I was too lazy for that!! Lol my work bathroom photo shoots with my iPhone will have to suffice!! But again, I love the pictures!!

    Ps…do you miss being pregnant??

    • Thanks! I actually thought yours were great because you took them more often! Not only was I indecisive about my outfit, but also too lazy to take more photos - so I can understand the laziness…hey, we were pregnant, we were allowed to be lazy!

Hmmm - I kinda miss the attention and anticipation. Preparing and wondering about what he would be like was fun and he definitely was much easier to take care of on the inside! Haha. But I don’t miss those lovely side effects. Oh, and I miss naps and uninterrupted sleep. :) But so so happy that he’s here!

  2. I love your photos! Did you wear a pregnancy tank top for the progression pics? It seemed to fit so well in all the photos!

  3. Really good pictures! Love the maternity clothes!Where are they from? These days maternity wears are quite expensive.I too had some good collection of affordable maternity wears when i was pregnant 4 years ago.Compliments just kept flowing in.I had got them from morph maternity, through online shopping. The discreet openings on their tops were the best part..Good luck with the blog!
