3 Super Bowl Bacon Recipe Ideas

While looking through the Hormel Recipe website for Super Bowl appetizer ideas to share with you guys, I couldn’t decide which one to make….then I came across their page that has nothing but BACON recipes and decided it was more fun to share a few to give you ideas!

 

BLT Pizzas

INGREDIENTS
â…“ cup mayonnaise
4 (6-inch) prebaked Italian pizza shells
2 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
12 slices HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Fully Cooked Bacon
1 cup shredded lettuce
DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 450°F.
2. Spread mayonnaise on each pizza shell. Top with tomatoes and bacon. Place on baking sheet.
3. Bake pizzas 8 to 10 minutes or until hot. Sprinkle with lettuce. Cut into 4 wedges each.

 

Bacon Bowl with Mac n Cheese
-No words can describe this awesomeness

INGREDIENTS
1½ (1-pound) packages HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® bacon
Mac and cheese of your choice, cooked according to package directions
DIRECTIONS
Heat oven to 400°F. Grease outside of 6-inch diameter ovenproof bowl. Place bowl on baking sheet.
Arrange bacon slices side-by-side on work surface. Weave bacon slices in opposite direction. Very carefully lift bacon lattice over bowl. Press to shape onto bowl. Cook 40 to 45 minutes or until bacon is cooked and brown. Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes to cool. Invert bacon bowl and fill with hot mac and cheese. Serves 4.

 

Bacon wrapped asparagus
-Because after that Bacon Bowl, you’re gonna need something a little “healthier”

INGREDIENTS
4 slices HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Bacon
16 spears fresh asparagus, trimmed
DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 400ºF.
2. Line microwave-safe plate with several pieces paper towel. Place bacon on plate; top with paper towel. Microwave 2 minutes.
3. Coat asparagus with cooking spray. Wrap partially cooked bacon around middle of each bundle of 4 asparagus spears. Place on baking pan.
4. Bake appetizers 10 minutes or until asparagus is hot and bacon is browned.
