Day 3
This morning’s breakfast wasn’t as good as yesterday’s. We started with warm glazed fruit again and had an egg quiche for the main dish. Neither of us are very big on quiche unfortunately.
After breakfast, we checked out and made our way to Tybee Island to see the lighthouse. It’s about a 20 minute drive to this small island. Since you had to pay to climb the lighthouse and it was hot outside, we could only imagine how hot it was inside, so we decided to just admire it from the outside.
We then ventured to the beach to take a few photos and then got in the car and headed home.
Overall, Savannah was a really interesting place to visit. Unfortunately, there isn’t a tremendous amount of things to do, so we found ourselves venturing to the Riverfront alot, but we enjoyed the tours, where we stayed and taking photos. Hearing the history and seeing the architecture made us feel like we were stepping back in time.
