Peace of Mind from the Motorola MBP36S Video Baby Monitor

Since before Trent was born, we debated about what kind of monitoring to put in the kids’ rooms. With Trent, we started out with just a sound monitor, which was convenient because we could carry it around the house and set the base next to Trent while he slept…wherever around the house that was (Which was almost never in his crib. Go figure.). But we always wanted more and wanted the extra security that a video would provide. So we bought an IP Camera so that we could use our tablets as a video monitor. It quickly became a hassle because it wasn’t as portable around the house.

I knew I wanted to do things a little bit different with Aubrey…well, I HAD to. Trent is still occupying our bed and I wanted to set good sleeping habits for Aubrey, which meant hopefully having her sleep in her crib and on somewhat of a schedule. Luckily, she was on the same page and now we have a sweet baby girl that goes to sleep around the same time each night (usually around 8pm) and sleeps until about 8am, at which time she will eat and go back to sleep for a few more hours. It has been absolutely glorious and it especially works right along with my part-time schedule back at work these last couple of weeks.

This monitor is super portable because it is small enough to carry around while still having a large enough screen to see as much as possible. You don’t have to log into an app, just turn it on and you are instantly able to see and hear your little one! It even has a little stand that pops out so you can set it down and be able to see it at any angle.

It was so easy to setup, too. The camera can either be mounted to the wall or placed on a flat surface.

Since it can be just placed on a flat surface, you have the freedom to move it and place it in the best spot no matter where your child is. This means you can take it with you while traveling, too!

This monitor provides crystal clear two-way communication and showcases a full color LCD screen. Plus, you can remotely pan, tilt and zoom. All of the controls are conveniently placed on the front of the monitor, so there’s no fumbling around if you need to quickly change anything.

You can even peek in at night with the infrared night vision and use the picture- in-picture feature to keep an eye on multiple rooms. We plan on getting an additional camera for Trent’s room, that way we can streamline and only use this monitor!

Speaking of Trent, he loves watching his baby sister sleeping! He likes holding the monitor and he gets a kick out of seeing us go and get her because we’ll wave to him in the camera.

I love love LOVE this baby monitor. The Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor allows us to easily keep an eye on Aubrey…whether it’s while we are cleaning the house, sleeping or watching tv.

I know this may sound like an exaggeration, but this monitor has helped me regain some of my me-time. I can keep an eye on the kids while doing pretty much anything without having to go check on them repeatedly or keep wondering “Is that Aubrey I hear?” But as much as I love seeing a sleeping baby in this monitor, I also look forward to seeing my well-rested and happy baby girl in the morning!
