This week actually felt jam-packed, considering I’m on maternity leave and don’t leave the house much normally.
The thing I’m most excited about is that I am now an Official Jamberry Nails Independent Consultant! Yay! I’ve done a review before (you can read it here) and I have used them twice since that review. In my 30 year life, the only times I have had nice nails and have not bitten them are the 3 times when I was wearing Jamberry Nail Shields. No lie. The shields last about 2 weeks…so I would put them on, not bite, take them off and be so excited to put every color of nail polish I could find on them…all to have the polish chip within a day and then I mess them up and bite. I was so tired of the cycle, so I joined so I could 1) get discounted products (woo-hoo!) and 2) to share with others how amazing Jamberry is. Here is my personal site if you want to check it out: http://www.lynnsvenson.jamberrynails.net
I also put an image on my sidebar that will lead you to my Jamberry site if you are ever interested in purchasing or joining my team. I promise I won’t bombard you with sales pitches (I made a separate website for that haha) but I will be posting a giveaway on here from time to time (including a big one next week!) and I do expect to post photos of my fabulous nails once I get my kit and products in the mail! One of the first designs I selected was Pumpkin Spice, the sparkly orange one in the photo below.

You can call this the week of doctor’s appointments, since we had 3 between the two of us. I had my 6 week postpartum visit. I brought Aubrey along, because I figured the doctor would want to see her, kinda like the reward for 9 months worth of appointments and such. Of course he held her and played with her, but I completely forgot I was getting a Mirena put in, so I had to put her in her carrier, where she immediately got hiccups and was angry and cried. As soon as we were done and she was picked up, the crying stopped and the smiles came back. That girl just wants to be held all day every day.
My next appointment was with a dermatologist (hooray!) where I got a large, bothersome mole removed. It was kinda weird getting it removed, since I’ve had it all my life, but it was on my lower stomach area, so pregnancy was not kind to it and it needed to go. I got stitches, which is the first time I’ve gotten stitches on the outside of my body, and it completely grosses me out…confirming my wise choice of not going into the medical profession.
Also, I can’t jog/run or put any stress on that area for 2 weeks until my stitches come out (and yes, like a dummy, I asked the doctor that before I left lol) so the 2 month post-baby-body post may not have much of an update, we shall see. But I’m not complaining, as I am glad to see that mole go.
-In Aubrey news, we have lots of smiling, cooing and facial expressions going on over here!

She has been sleeping SO WELL at night! I try not to say things like that out loud, knowing that it could change at any moment, but she is sleeping in her crib (something I wanted to make sure happened differently than Trent) and only wakes up once, sometimes twice if we go to bed a little early. During the day, she naps much better if she is on me, but sometimes I’ve got stuff to do so she has to come with me while I accomplish things…like taking photos! Thank goodness for baby carriers!

Even though I have the Ergo Baby Carrier, I can’t wear it because it lays right where my stitches are, so I broke out the Baby Bjorn carrier, which was actually more comfortable for her size at the moment. She seemed really comfortable in it, so I will be using this one until she fits better in the Ergo and I no longer have stitches to worry about.
-In Trent news, he has been learning so much! He loves ABCMouse on the iPad and his favorite thing to watch is Phonics Farm from LeapFrog on Netflix. He says all the letters, dances and just gets so excited. We love watching him as he watches it. I’ll argue against anyone that says television doesn’t help kids learn. It just depends on what they are watching. I am especially grateful that he can learn even when I may not have as much time to teach him as I used to. My favorite letter is “U” because he says “Euwww”

Here are some fun things from around the interwebs:
-This Disney wedding cake. So awesome!
-A Bad Lip Reading Video of The Walking Dead. These bad lip reading videos are hilarious and this one is the newest one released last week. It also gets me pumped for the new season of The Walking Dead!
-23 Words That Have A Totally Different Meaning In Florida. All so true, but #9 was my biggest shock when I moved down here. No joke, those things are frickin huge.
-Exactly how much sugar is in that drink? Scary…
***Congrats to the winners of the Frozen: The Songs cd and thanks to all who entered! If you didn’t win, you can buy the cd on Amazon (just $9.99! Stocking stuffer idea?).
