7 Months

Here we are at another monthly Trent birthday!

There were a lot of changes this past month! Trent no longer sits in the infant seats in store carts. He sits up and holds onto the handlebar and looks around at everything. This has helped tremendously. I remember when I used to have to walk him in his stroller at Costco because we never had room in the cart to put his car seat (I even held him a few times…no easy task at almost 20 pounds at the time!). Now, we can go anywhere and not have to worry about where we’re going to put him. (As I typed this, Brett informed me that Trent had gotten cranky in the seat at Publix and he ended up having to carry him and grocery shop by himself. This resulted in numerous women talking to him about how cute Trent was. I bet he LOVED that…)

 

He’s ohsoclose to crawling. I know I keep saying that, but when I first said that 2 months ago, seeing him scoot around on the floor led me to think that crawling was the next step. Apparently, it’s not and I may have skipped a few steps. He now rolls around a lot more and will push up on his hands and feet, not really on his knees. He pushes back or flops forward, but keeps on trying. We put his IKEA play mat down on the floor with a bunch of his toys and while we used to not worry about him moving much, he has now made his way off of the mat. He also started pulling himself up in the bathtub. Boy, we are about to be in for it.

 

We also had some fun with a fisheye lens during his photoshoot this morning. When it comes to him trying to put things in his mouth, nothing is off-limits.

Likes

Screaming and talking all day

Dislikes

Waiting for a bottle

Sleeping through the night (ok, that’s just me talking. But seriously, when will he sleep through the night…arghh!)
