We had our ultrasound appointment last Tuesday, where they told us with 100% certainty that we are having a girl!

We are beyond excited. As Brett said in his post sharing the news “Looks like we will get our wish! We will have a little pirate AND a princess!”
Although, if she wants to dress up as a pirate instead, then she is more than welcome to!
The funniest part about it was as soon as the nurse said “It’s a girl!” Trent said “Uh-Oh!”
Uh-oh is right, little man….be prepared.
I know I’ve been a slacker when it comes to doing pregnancy updates this time around. I know exactly why though. Last time, we were so excited to get really creative and we had all these ideas and expectations, such as taking a photo every week, doing multiple photos for different reasons, etc. and then reality happened. We were bad about skipping weeks, we scrapped some of our ideas and we were pretty inconsistent about the entire thing.
This time, we kept telling ourselves “We need to take a photo” but the weeks just passed us by. And honestly, I felt miserable the first trimester. I had a feeling it was going to be a girl because she was not being very nice to me or my body. And because I didn’t feel good, I also didn’t feel like I looked good either (especially since I looked pregnant before I even knew for sure I was pregnant). The last thing I wanted to do was take a photo.
I feel much better now, so even though I don’t plan on taking a photo every week, we will take a few and we are also planning on doing some maternity photos again while we’re in Disney World in May. I won’t be as far along as I was the last time I took maternity photos, but I will probably look the same size…
Better late than never…here is a photo of me at 20 weeks.
